Gatling Gun
- Had 6 barrels latched together
- Rarely used during the war, considering the gatling gun had more cons than pros
- One redeeming factor was the gravity-fed reloading system, allowing an unskilled operator to reach 200 bullets a minute
Artillery
- Napoleons, howitzers, and Columbiads are names of the Artillery guns used in the war
- The two types of Field artillery were Horse and mounted; Horse assisted cavalry, and Mounted were footsoldiers who "mounted" the cannon as they went into a fight
- Artillery were smoothbored during the Civil war, but many British inventors were making Rifled artillery at this time
